Kristin CabranesMSOM, BS, L.Ac, Owner
I have been in the medical field for over 30 years and find the human body fascinating. It never ceases to amaze me how much the body can withstand and its' ability to heal itself when given the proper tools.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist I worked in the operating room as a private surgical assistant. During this time I experienced severe headaches and low back pain. I tried numerous modalities to alleviate the pain without success. Eventually, I found acupuncture, which brought me relief from my back pain and headaches. After achieving such successful results, I knew I had found my calling and I enrolled at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. I went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine in 2011. I am licensed and board-certified acupuncturist in the state of Wisconsin. I balance my life at the clinic with cooking, spending time with my husband and dogs and my passion for quilting. |
Dr. Susan SterlingD.N., L.Ac, MSOM
I grew up in Chicago and graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. My graduate studies led first to a Doctoral degree in Naprapathy from the National College of Naprapathic Medicine, then a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and a Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine — all with high honors. I am licensed and board-certified in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in Wisconsin and Acupuncture, Naprapathy and Herbal Medicine in Illinois. I believe strongly in an integrative approach that effectively, compassionately, and skillfully addresses your health care needs. Solutions to illness and injury can come from many sources so I work with you to develop your care plan. I value timely risk assessment and proactive intervention using the ancient, tried and true methods of Eastern Medicine.
If you give your body the right environment, it will know how to heal itself. My purpose is to help you, our patients, to understand and act on this fundamental truth. This is the heart of complementary medicine. |
